Source marine diesel propulsion from leading global manufacturers for yachts, fishing boats, workboats and professional marine applications.
Marine Diesel Engines for Reliable Marine Power
Marine diesel propulsion serves a remarkably broad section of the marine industry, from compact engines powering smaller sailing and recreational vessels to high-output diesel systems installed in large yachts, fishing vessels, workboats and commercial ships. Unlike selecting an engine purely by horsepower, a proper marine diesel specification takes account of vessel displacement, operating profile, engine loading, cruising speed, transmission, cooling system, exhaust arrangement, installation dimensions and the number of hours the engine is expected to operate. Our marine diesel sourcing portfolio covers Yanmar, Volvo Penta, Cummins, Caterpillar, MAN and mtu, giving customers access to established diesel-engine families across a substantial range of marine applications. Whether you are sourcing an engine for a new vessel, replacing an existing power unit, undertaking a repower or procuring propulsion for a commercial fleet, we can work from your vessel information, required output, existing engine or preferred manufacturer and help identify the appropriate marine diesel solution.
Yanmar Marine Diesel Engines
Yanmar’s marine diesel range provides one of the clearest progressions from compact propulsion to higher-output powerboat and light-commercial engines. The current manufacturer catalog covers 10 to 640 MHP, with separate families developed around different vessel sizes and operating requirements. Selecting a Marine Diesel by Vessel and Duty
The breadth of these engine families demonstrates why marine diesel selection should begin with the vessel rather than with a generic horsepower search. A small sailing vessel, a planing yacht, an offshore fishing boat and a commercial workboat can all use diesel propulsion while requiring completely different engine characteristics. Displacement, propeller load, cruising speed, engine-room dimensions, transmission ratio and expected annual operating hours all influence the correct selection. For commercial operators, duty classification becomes particularly important because an engine intended for intermittent use should not automatically be substituted for a platform designed around continuous or heavy-duty operation.
The physical installation is equally important. Engine mounts, shaft alignment, exhaust routing, cooling circuits, fuel delivery, ventilation, electrical output and transmission compatibility must all be considered before a replacement or new installation is approved. Modern marine diesel systems may also incorporate common-rail injection, electronic engine management, emissions after-treatment, digital controls and vessel-network integration. For international projects, regional emissions requirements and model availability can further affect the appropriate specification. Our sourcing process therefore starts with the customer’s actual requirement and works toward the correct engine, rather than assuming that the same model is suitable for every vessel.
Marine Diesel Engines for Sale and Repower
We can assist with sourcing marine diesel engines for new vessel construction, repower projects, replacement installations, yacht propulsion, fishing vessels, workboats and commercial marine operations. Customers can approach us with an exact engine model when the specification is already established, or provide the vessel make and model, existing engine, required horsepower, number of engines and intended operating profile when they need help determining the appropriate option.
Our international sourcing capability also means customers are not restricted to whatever happens to be available in their immediate local market. Manufacturer availability, regional specifications and emissions configurations can differ, so each inquiry is handled according to the destination and actual vessel requirement.
Send us your vessel details, existing engine, preferred manufacturer, required horsepower or exact model, and our team can assist with sourcing the appropriate marine diesel engine and configuration.
