Warranty Policy

1. Purpose

This Warranty Policy outlines the warranty principles applicable to products supplied by Omega Marine Depot and provides guidance on warranty eligibility, claim procedures, customer responsibilities, and manufacturer warranty administration. Our objective is to ensure customers clearly understand how warranty support is managed while promoting transparency throughout the ownership experience.

Brand-new marine equipment supplied by Omega Marine Depot is supported by the applicable manufacturer’s standard warranty. Warranty coverage varies between manufacturers, product categories, and intended applications and is governed by the warranty terms issued by the respective manufacturer.

2. Manufacturer Warranty Coverage

All eligible brand-new products are supplied with the manufacturer’s standard warranty applicable to the specific product at the time of purchase. Depending on the manufacturer and product range, selected equipment may also qualify for optional extended warranty programmes where such programmes are officially available. Warranty documentation and applicable coverage details are provided with the product or made available during the purchasing process to ensure customers understand the protection available for their equipment.

Warranty coverage generally applies to defects in materials or workmanship identified during the applicable warranty period under normal operating conditions. The scope, duration, limitations, and remedies available under warranty are determined solely by the manufacturer’s published warranty terms and may differ between brands, product categories, and geographic regions.

3. Customer Responsibilities

To preserve warranty eligibility, customers are responsible for ensuring that products are installed, commissioned, operated, serviced, and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s published instructions and technical recommendations. Proper maintenance records, proof of purchase, service documentation, and any other information reasonably required by the manufacturer should be retained throughout the warranty period.

Customers should inspect products upon delivery and notify Omega Marine Depot promptly if any issue is identified. Continuing to operate equipment that appears to have a fault may increase the extent of the damage and could affect warranty consideration depending on the manufacturer’s policies.

4. Warranty Exclusions

Warranty coverage does not generally extend to damage or defects resulting from improper installation, misuse, abuse, neglect, unauthorised modifications, accidents, corrosion, improper storage, racing or competitive use where prohibited, normal wear and tear, inadequate maintenance, use of incompatible components, environmental conditions, or operation outside the manufacturer’s recommended specifications. Cosmetic wear, routine maintenance items, and consumable components may also be excluded where specified by the manufacturer.

Because warranty conditions vary between manufacturers, customers are encouraged to review the warranty documentation supplied with their product for complete information regarding exclusions, limitations, and customer obligations.

5. Warranty Claims

Should a warranty concern arise, customers should contact Omega Marine Depot as soon as reasonably possible with details of the product, proof of purchase, the serial number where applicable, and a clear description of the issue. Supporting photographs, videos, inspection reports, or service records may be requested to assist with the initial assessment and facilitate communication with the manufacturer or authorised warranty provider.

Omega Marine Depot will provide reasonable assistance throughout the warranty process by helping customers understand the applicable procedure, coordinating communication where appropriate, and supplying relevant documentation necessary to support the claim. Final warranty determinations, repairs, replacements, or other remedies remain subject to the manufacturer’s warranty programme and evaluation procedures.

6. Limitation of Warranty

This Warranty Policy does not create an independent warranty beyond that provided by the original manufacturer unless expressly stated in writing. Omega Marine Depot administers warranty enquiries in good faith and supports customers throughout the process but cannot extend, modify, or alter manufacturer warranty terms or make decisions on behalf of the manufacturer regarding claim approval.

Nothing contained within this policy limits any statutory rights that customers may have under applicable consumer protection legislation.

7. Policy Updates

Omega Marine Depot reserves the right to revise this Warranty Policy to reflect changes in manufacturer programmes, business operations, or applicable legal requirements. The most current version will be published on our website and will apply from the effective date shown at the beginning of this document.
